The new issue of "From the roots" is now available both online and in print. It is the biannual publication of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation in Foligno, which every six months shares projects, people, and stories from a community that grows through solidarity, education, and caring relationships.
This edition opens with an important piece of news: the editorial leadership of "From the roots" has been entrusted to journalist Maria Tripepi, editor-in-chief of Gazzetta di Foligno and Radio Gente Umbra, who has long been close to the Foundation and its values.
Our Foundation’s President Beatrice Baldaccini, has extended her best wishes and thanks for choosing to dedicate her professional experience to the publication's mission of telling the story of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation's work and commitment.
Issue 17 of "From the roots" is dedicated to the social project "TOC TOC, welcome families", a free community space for children aged 0 to 6 and their families. The initiative was created to encourage meeting, play, and sharing within the Foligno community. The project was made possible through the valuable collaboration of the social cooperative La Locomotiva. In its first months of activity, it has already involved many families. This special issue tells its story through the voices of those who conceived it, those who bring it to life every week, and the families who have experienced it firsthand.
This issue’s pages bring together reflections, testimonials, and experiences that highlight the value of the project’s early stages and the importance of providing concrete support for parenting.
Enjoy the read!
