ProSceniUm Festival of Assisi 2026: fundraising for the social project “With the families”

An evening of music featuring young talents, distinguished guests, and a special focus on those facing greater difficulties. This is what the ProSceniUm Song Festival will be: an event taking place at the Teatro Lyrick in Assisi on Saturday, 17 October at 9:00 p.m. For this eighth edition, the Festival will also involve the Valter Baldaccini Foundation as the beneficiary of the 2026 Canticum Award and of the fundraising campaign dedicated to the social project  “With the families”.

What is the ProSceniUm Song Festival of Assisi?

The ProSceniUm Song Festival, City of Assisi is a national music competition dedicated to singer-songwriters and designed to provide a platform for emerging artists.

From the very beginning, artistic directors Loredana Torresi and Roberto Lipari have wanted the Festival to look beyond the stage itself:

“In the beautiful setting of Assisi, music also becomes an opportunity for meeting, sharing, and solidarity. This attention is even more necessary this year: the eighth centenary of the passing of Saint Francis invites us to reflect even more deeply on the enduring relevance of a message that has crossed the centuries and continues to speak of fraternity, closeness, peace, and care for the most vulnerable. It is from this conviction that the Canticum Award was born, through which each year ProSceniUm Festival recognises and supports an organisation capable of transforming solidarity into a daily commitment to others.”

For 2026, the recipient of the Canticum Award, and therefore of the fundraising campaign promoted by the Festival, will be the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, specifically one of the social projects we carry out in the local area: “With the families”.

“We recognised in the Valter Baldaccini Foundation a profound affinity with the spirit of the Award: the desire to stand beside people not only through assistance, but by building pathways capable of restoring confidence, dignity, and new opportunities”.

The fundraising campaign dedicated to the social project “With the families”: the value of being there

“We chose to dedicate this fundraising campaign to the social project ‘With Families’,” the Festival organisers told us, “because it begins with something as simple as it is fundamental: being there for those who need help most. Being there when a baby is born and, together with that child, a family is born or transformed. Being there when joy is accompanied by fear, loneliness, or challenges that can make such an important moment in life more difficult.”

The “With the amilies” social project brings this support into the everyday lives of vulnerable people through the presence of educators in their homes and through shared work with local services. Since 2019, the project has supported more than 50 vulnerable families in our area.

“This is why we wanted to honour it with the Canticum Award: the value of being there. Because we believe that the most genuine solidarity begins precisely here: by not leaving a person, a parent, or a family alone when they most need to feel that a community exists around them.”

How to take part in the ProSceniUm Song Festival and donate to the project

To attend the evening, you must reserve your free ticket. Before, during, and after the event, it will be possible to make a donation to the fundraising page dedicated to the initiative. All proceeds will support the “With the families” project.

Every donation is a precious gesture that helps ensure the continuation of this work. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who chooses to provide practical support to so many mothers, fathers, boys, and girls:

• with € 15, you donate a book to a family in difficulty. During their home visits, the project’s educators promote reading aloud from the earliest days of life, helping to strengthen the bond between parents and children.
• with € 25, you provide one hour of an educator’s support for a vulnerable family.
• with € 50, you fund one hour of supervision with a psychologist for the entire project team.
• with € 100, you guarantee an educator’s presence with a family for an entire afternoon.
