Fondazione Banca Centro Toscana Umbria supports the “With the families” project: bringing home visiting to vulnerable families

The Valter Baldaccini Foundation gratefully welcomes the support of Fondazione Banca Centro Toscana Umbria for the "With the families” project: a tangible contribution that enables educators to continue visiting the homes of the most vulnerable families in the local community.

The “With the families” project: supporting families through home visiting

“With the families” is a social project run by the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, which ensures that educators are present every day in the homes of families facing the greatest difficulties, providing support to mothers, fathers, girls and boys in the local community.

“With the families” is a project made possible through an important partnership between the public and private sectors. Healthcare professionals from the Consultorio Foligno Subasio of the USL Umbria 2 Health District identify families in need of support, while staff from the social cooperative Comunità La Tenda visit their homes through home visiting, providing practical and personalised family support.

Why home visiting makes a difference

Home visiting is an approach that brings family support directly to where it is needed most: the home. Specialised educators work alongside mothers, fathers and children in their everyday lives, helping to break isolation and build a genuine network of relationships and skills. This model goes beyond a purely welfare-based approach, focusing instead on the autonomy and growth of every family.

The “Con le famiglie” project is only possible thanks to donors and supporters who believe in the importance of providing tangible support and opportunities to those who are most vulnerable and in need.

Supporting this initiative means investing in home visiting: through specialised educators who enter the homes of vulnerable families in Social Zone 8 of Umbria, we help break isolation and create a genuine support network. Together with the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, we will ensure that two families in the area have access to an educator for one year. We firmly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and that supporting parents is the most effective way to reduce inequalities and generate value for the local community.”
