The fifth edition of "Un Goal per Valter," the tournament dedicated to Valter Baldaccini

The fifth edition of the "Un Goal per Valter" football tournament, organized by ASD Cannara in collaboration with UMBRAGROUP and the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, was held on Wednesday, September 3 and Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Valter Baldaccini Municipal Stadium in Cannara.

The competition featured over 100 young players under 14 from six teams from across the Umbria, Marche and Toscana regions:

  • U.S.D. Tolentino 1919;
  • S.S.D. Vivi Altotevere Sansepolcro;
  • ASD Santa Sabina;
  • FC Umbertide Agape;
  • Polisportiva Campitello;
  • ASD Cannara.

An event celebrating the values of Valter Baldaccini

The goal of this event is not only to entertain these young people, but also to instill in them what Valter Baldaccini considered the value of football: a game that must be played with respect, towards teammates, opponents, and referees.

Two days of football, passion, and healthy competitive spirit, celebrated in the spirit of sporting values and in memory of Valter Baldaccini.

An event also dedicated to the Cannara community

"A Goal for Valter" has become a regular event for the Cannara community over time, thanks to the support of local institutions, companies, and associations.

The 2025 edition was sponsored by the Municipality of Cannara and made possible thanks to the contribution of the main sponsor UMBRAGROUP, and sponsors COMFA Tecnoservice srl. and Termoidraulica Bartolini, KUHN, and PKE PRÄZISIONSKUGELN ELTMANN.

Special thanks go to the many volunteers who make this event possible every year, and to the local organizations that brought it to life:

  • The Scarpette Rosa Dance School, directed by Deborah Filippucci
  • The Morlacchi Musical Concert Band of Cannara

Thanks to all the teams who passionately participated in the tournament, and congratulations to Polisportiva Campitello, the winning team.

And finally, thanks to ASD Cannara, and especially to our friend Angelo Mattonelli, for promoting, for the fifth time, this two-day event dedicated to Valter Baldaccini.
