The Valter Baldaccini Foundation welcomed the project presented by Caritas Umbria and collaborated with the local partner: SHOQATA AGRIKOLTURES SOCIALE ZLLAKUCAN - Leskoc, which responded in a concrete way to the need for work and training through the establishment of a production structure and the creation of a training course.
In 2016, a parcel of about 20 hectares of agricultural and private land was purchased, on which a structure was built and organized on a farm model with outlying workshops, where young Kosovans could start to preview the world of work and thus lay the foundations for their future.
The Valter Baldaccini Foundation proposes to support the initiative through the purchase of 10 dairy cows, a milking machine and a pasteurizer. Part of the existing building will be arranged for milk collection thus allowing the creation of a concrete economic activity.
The current project therefore aims to improve the living conditions of young people and their families and to create a structure for vocational training of young Kosovans who are welcomed by the host house in Leskoc, funded by Umbra Cuscinetti through projects undertaken over the past years.
