The “With the families” project at the 3rd Brazelton Conference

The socio-educational project With the families is also among the best practices presented on the occasion of “With parents”, the 3rd International Multidisciplinary Brazelton Conference which was held on December 18th and 19th, 2020. 

For almost two years the project has been working alongside 13 families in our area who are going through a difficult time. Every day the educators go to their homes and accompany and support parents in the delicate moment of the arrival of a child. They do this by following and applying the Touchpoints method of the American pediatrician Thomas Berry Brazelton, a luminary in his field.

We are sharing the poster, in italian, also present on the Conference website. It summarizes:

• the meaning of the project
• its goals
• the tools
• the methodology applied
• future developments.

We would like to give a special thanks to little Erica who, during the months of lockdown, designed the house on the poster for us.
