For almost two years "With the families" of the area

13 families, 10 programs still active today. An accompanying project for many mothers and fathers from the first days of their baby's birth, and in some cases from pregnancy, to guarantee the best possible start to the newcomer. This is the important goal of the socio-educational project With the families, which has been active in our area since February 2019.

A project based on the Touchpoints method of the American pediatrician Brazelton, conceived by Dr. Marta Franci and Mariolina Frigeri of our Scientific Committee and immediately shared with the Health District USL Umbria 2 and the Subasio Family Consultancy of Foligno.

One to three times a week, the educators of the La Tenda Cooperative in Foligno, our project partner, visit the families at home to support parents in the delicate moment of the arrival of a new life. This support focuses on making families aware of all the services already present in the area which they can utilize once the journey with us is concluded.

Through their diaries the educators Cecilia and Annachiara tell us about their work. There are families where the mother is alone and has to look after more than one child, families who also have economic problems, families who have a home and work, but who are going through a moment of insecurity and fragility.

This is an important project, which we hope will only grow in the months to come, thanks to your contribution.
