The new issue of "Africa's memories" is available, the newsletter written by Joab Omoto, our contact person for some of the solidarity projects active in Kenya.
In these pages, Joab tells updates us on the progress of two important projects that are giving a group of young people the concrete opportunity to build a better future:
- this year, the socio-educational distance support project is allowing 33 boys, girls, boys, and girls to have access to education. Some of them are very young and have just started kindergarten, while others are facing their final year exams with the big dream of achieving a good score and accessing a university scholarship;
- thejob placement project dedicated to the mothers of Mathare, very young women, mostly minors, who live in conditions of extreme poverty and social hardship. They are girls who have complex histories, and we give them opportunity to learn a trade by attending a local craft workshop and receive psychological support. We also help them buy groceries.
Each of these projects is possible only thanks to those who choose every day to be close to those in difficulty.
