The Foundation’s objectives: an interview with our President Beatrice Baldaccini
Our president, Beatrice Baldaccini, had a nice chat with the friends of the Gazzetta di Foligno. It was an opportunity to retrace her three-year experience spent in the United States at the head of UMBRAGROUP’s Michigan subsidiary and to recall the meaning of one of the socio-educational projects of the Foundation born in that area: The Women of Emmaus House.
Today the Valter Baldaccini Foundation wants to operate with three important objectives:
- to be an active presence in the places where UMBRAGROUP offices are located and engage in socially responsibe activities in these communities;
- adapt our planning to the world that has changed due to Covid, restructuring interventions based on the emergency with the project partners;
- create awareness around the challenges women face because they still do not have access to the same possibilities as men and, if this is serious in the developed parts of the world, it is even more so in developing countries.
The Foundation wants to respond by creating projects to help women acquire self-esteem over time, make them feel part of the female community where they find themselves and take strength from it in order to carry out activities that do good for them and the people who live in the communities where they live.
