The book of collected speeches by Valter Baldaccini was presented in Perugia

A new presentation of the book which collects the writings and speeches of Valter Baldaccini was held on the evening of Wednesday 27 September 2023 in Perugia, in the splendid cloister of the former church of Santa Maria Maddalena, inside the headquarters of the Umbria Carabinieri Legion Command .

The event was held, as part of the initiatives aimed at training the management and managers of the Carabinieri Legion, on the initiative of Brigadier General Gerardo Iorio. We would like to thank him for his profound sensitivity and his understanding that: «The values expressed in the book have many points in common with being a "Carabiniere", whose daily mission is to safeguard the common good and the communities in which they operate, combining efficiency and closeness to people».

«This is the third public presentation of the book and each event highlights different aspects- commented our President Beatrice Baldaccini - This time the focus was on the leadership style that my father Valter promoted as an entrepreneur, and from this discussion emerged the characteristics that a person leading a company must have: courage, a positive view of human beings and the world, perseverance and the idea that promoting the common good is the only investment that never fails».

Also, Reno Ortolani, President of the Board of Directors of UMBRAGROUP, added another characteristic, respect: «In the manifesto of values that guide UMBRAGROUP, based on Valter’s teachings, what has always been present in all his speeches and put into practice in any situation is respect for others. And we who occupy highly visible positions have the duty to operate with respect for people and the environment both at work and outside of it. I, who accompanied Valter in his working life for 30 years, proposed to be the guarantor in UMBRAGROUP of what he passed on to us».

The initiative was organized by the Umbria Carabinieri Legion Command, the Valter Baldaccini Foundation and UMBRAGROUP with the patronage of the Municipality of Perugia.

Special thanks to Professor Marco Moschini for sharing his thoughts on the importance of Valter Baldaccini's values and to Fabio Luccioli for having wisely moderated the presentation.

Finally, thanks to the production company Lux Vide and the actors Eugenio Mastrandrea and Francesco Castiglione, among the protagonists of the italian fiction "Don Matteo" in the role of Captain and Officer of the Carabinieri, who with great professionalism and passion read some passages taken from Valter's speeches.
