Our President Beatrice Baldaccini doubles the support for the Tor Bella Monaca project

An educator for the children of Tor Bella Monaca: this is the name of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation’s socio-educational project in Tor Bella Monaca, one of the most difficult areas of Rome, in support of Monica’s work. She is one of the operators of "Casa mia, casa nostra".

"Casa mia, casa nostra" is the day care center run by the voluntary association Vides Mic Mag TBM onlus, the Parish of Santa Maria Madre del Redentore and the Salesian Sisters Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, who take care of a group of children and adolescents who are living in conditions of extreme social hardship.

This project has become even larger thanks to a donation from our President Beatrice Baldaccini who has chosen to double the support already approved for this year by the Foundation.

"Sister Adele and Sister Severina, who today work in Tor Bella Monaca, have positively impacted my childhood and my youth when they were in service in Cannara, my home town - says Beatrice Baldaccini. Thanks to them today the Valter Baldaccini Foundation has arrived in Tor Bella Monaca, considered the Bronx of Rome. “Casa mia, casa nostra” is a project that struck me immediately - she adds. It is surprising how, in one of the most complex areas of Rome where poverty, crime and the mafia seem to be the masters, there are many people and wonderful projects that strive every day to tell these children that an alternative exists. This is why I decided to make a personal donation to this project, doubling the amount that the Valter Baldaccini Foundation had already decided to provide this year in support of one of project’s educators. The additional € 15,000 is for growth and access to a different future for these children and adolescents".
