On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, this year the Infiorata di Cannara was dedicated to Valter Baldaccini, his story and the values that he continues to inspire.
Every year, on the Corpus Domini festivity, the Umbrian village of Cannara is transformed thanks to the Infiorata: an evocative event where the streets are covered with floral carpets made with fresh and dried flower petals. A tradition that unites spirituality, art, and community, and which also takes place in other places in Italy.
This year too, the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, together with UMBRAGROUP and UMBRAcral, actively participated in this heartfelt event.
Cannara, Valter Baldaccini's hometown, has always had a special meaning for him. The infiorata was a moment to be experienced with friends, colleagues, and family. For this reason, on the tenth anniversary of the Foundation named after him, the floral tribute has transformed into a gesture full of affection and memory.
The flower carpets, created by the UMBRAGROUP flower arrangingh group – young and old together - were inspired by the fairy tale "Valter dei desideri", written by Loretta Bonamente and illustrated by Annalisa Beghelli (PAV Edizioni). The artistic project was curated by Valentina Stocchi, in collaboration with Arianna Di Stefano.
A heartfelt thanks to all the flower arrangers who, with passion and dedication, made this magical night possible. An experience of beauty and sharing, in the name of Valter Baldaccini and the values that continue to guide the Foundation every day.
