Every day, at the Leskoc Home, many vulnerable children find welcome, care, and protection. Among the children, like Adi, who frequent the Leskoc Home during the day are Merita, Naim, and Fadil, who at 10 months is one of the Home's youngest guests.
Fadil was born prematurely, and his mother, very young and with significant cognitive impairment, couldn't fully understand the instructions for giving him formula: sometimes it was too cold, sometimes too hot, and sometimes she forgot.
Fadil wasn't growing, and his health was deteriorating. Thanks to the intervention of the Leskoc Home staff, constant support, medical care, and daily attention, Fadil began to gain weight, feel better, move, and crawl.
Even the older siblings have experienced significant difficulties: Fadil's brother Naim was born prematurely and has a serious vision problem. Despite this, he is a lively, attentive, and energetic child who enthusiastically participates in the center's activities.
Merita, the eldest of the family, is only 4 years old, very bright and intelligent: she is affectionate, attentive to her siblings, eager to learn, and always ready to lend a hand.
The house they live in is dirty, messy, and unsafe, and their mother often feels overwhelmed: "It's not that I don't want to, it's that I can't".
The staff at the Leskoc Home provide concrete help to this family every day: they have redone the floors, improved the home's hygiene, and welcomed the children into the day center, where they can have clean clothes, eat, play, learn, and be in a stable and protected environment.
Today, Merita, Naim, and Fadil are still living in poverty, but no longer abandoned to their fate. At the Leskoc House, they found support, care, and someone who believes in them.
This Christmas, you can be part of this change. DONATE NOW and give concrete help to this family and all the children at the Leskoc House.
