Valter Baldaccini, the Righteous

March 9th was truly a special day for the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, the Baldaccini family, and all UMBRAGROUP employees. Valter Baldaccini received an important recognition and was named as one of the Righteous in the Garden of Trevi

The Righteous are those who have distinguished themselves in the course of their lives for their service to others through significant humanitarian and social actions and gestures. The Gardens of the Righteous are scattered all over the world. They are places where the important principles these people represent is kept alive, especially for today’s youth. Sharing the words of Beatrice Baldaccini, President of the Foundation, Antonio Baldaccini said:

“Although Dad started his life uphill, having lost his father at an early age, he was a person capable of seeing the beauty in it. He never let himself be managed by money, but he held on to his Christian principles as a beacon of his existence. He tried to find a balance within the three spheres of his life: family, work, and community. He dedicated himself to others, including those most in need, in a heartfelt desire to participate in the advancement of society, with the humble attitude of those who know they are part of a larger design.  It is up to us to sow seeds of love into the world through our daily actions. Justice is a cardinal virtue, a moral principle that is our responsibility to make concrete through our actions. Justice must come before our personal interests and must spur us to go beyond our fears and prejudices, because together with others we can find personal fulfillment. My wish for all of you is a full, committed life that allows you to take responsibility and participate in the advancement of our society”.

Thanks again to Damiana Bovo, secretary of the PRO TREVI Association, who worked alongside Valter Baldaccini for 28 years, for recommending his name, and to all the students from class 2A from the T. Valenti Istituto Comprensivo Secondary School in Trevi for choosing to adopt it. We are truly honored and proud of this important recognition.
