Spending March 8th together with the Anti-violence Center

Every year, Women's Day is an opportunity for us to spend a moment with UMBRAGROUP employees. Valter Baldaccini was particularly keen on this anniversary and we want to continue to recognize it.
This year we are sharing our virtual appointment with our President Bealtrice Baldaccini, the CEO of UMBRAGROUP Antonio Braldaccini, the Foligno Anti-Violence Center and its workers Chiara Cantoni and Elisabetta Bistocchi, who is also the Center's contact person.

One of the pandemic’s unfortunate consequences is an increase in the number of cases of physical and psychological violence against women. Even in our area the numbers are staggering. In 2020, 66 women were accepted, just under 200 interviews and 13 complaints to the police; and it is difficult to measure the silence of all those women who are unable to ask for help.

To give a concrete signal of our support for the event on March 8th, the Valter Baldaccini Foundation is making a donation to the Anti-Violence Center of Foligno which is equivalent to the gift UMBRAGROUP gives its female employees. We are also promoting a fundraising campaign specifically to support the Center.

The Anti-Violence Center was born in November 2020 from the experience of the Anti-Violence Desk and is managed by Libera..mente Donna, an association that has been operating throughout the Umbrian territory since 2003 with various services intended for listening to and welcoming women victims of violence.

The Foligno office is in via dei Molini 20/A and offers its help 24 hours a day thanks to the operators who answer the number: 389.2114733.

The email is centroantiviolenzafoligno@gmail.com and is open to the public at these times:

  • Monday 9.00 - 14.00
  • Tuesday 14.00 - 18.00
  •  Wednesday 15.00 - 18.00
  • Thursday 9.00 - 15.30
  • Friday 9.00 - 12.00

If you too wish to give your support to these women and help the anti-violence center in Foligno, please donate today indicating the reason as "8 March".

Happy Women's Day to all.
