Massimo’s Diary:  The work has begun on the barn in Leskoc

“The reconstruction work on the barn began in early May.  Three young men work on it every day, and some days three more are needed.   They are all very happy with this job. Some of them had been unemployed for months.

First we dismantled the existing mechanical workshop and joinery from the building we will be using as a barn and moved it to another room. We have decided that we will reactivate the carpentry shop after all the work is completed. Next we started on the demolition, in particular the wall on one of the long sides of the building.

A large shed will be built that will allow us to double the space and have a corridor in the career where the mixer wagon for feeding the cattle will pass. We have also begun to assemble the sliding gates for the stalls and install the drainage for the sewage.

Soon we will also build the trough and water system. Once part of the building has been made accessible, the animal swill be moved to the existing stables which will be designated exclusively to pasture and dairy cows.”.
