From a mother of “With the families” for the future mothers of the project

The With the families project is supporting many fragile families in the area and is ensuring the best possible start for many children.

This is the testimony of a mother who, thanks to the support made possible by the socio-educational project undertaken by the Foundation, managed to find the serenity and strength to better face motherhood and her childrens’ development.

“I started being part of this project after the birth of my second daughter. Initially, I had no idea what it was about but I thought that I would have both psychological and mental support, but it was much more than that.

I met Cecilia, a very simple and sweet girl who managed to bring out the mother in me comparing and reassuring me when I needed her. This is what we mothers need. We do not need to be judged, demoralized or to know that there is someone who would certainly have done things better than we have. We need support and to dispel some of our obvious fears.

We are not perfect and we should not even strive for perfection, but do the best for our children and for ourselves. I will always remember our laughter, her looks that let me know that I always had her outstretched hand to help me. Well ... this is what I learned in this journey which - alas - has come to an end. The project is this: to make us understand that we can do it, and also have someone who, at times, pushes the stroller for us!".
