A visit to Caritas Perugia for the 53rd birthday of UMBRAGROUP

On April 1, 2025, UMBRAGROUP celebrated its 53rd birthday and, given the tenth anniversary of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation and the deep connection between our two realities, we decided to spend a morning at the headquarters of Caritas Perugia together with a group of managers, shareholders and members of the Board of Directors, to reflect together and get to know the social project "Family and Work", dedicated to creating job opportunities for those who find themselves most in difficulty.

Valter Baldaccini was a man of deep faith, a man who lived the Gospel. For him, the words"love your neighbor as yourself" were the guide for his actions, in his private and professional life.

With these values, UMBRAGROUP was born 53 years ago, and with that attention it still grows and prospers today, putting people at the center, listening to others, caring for relationships, the community and the common good.

Our neighbor is the colleague who works alongside us every day, but also those who are not like us, those who live in fragile conditions. For this reason, we are happy to have had the opportunity to spend time with Jalil, this year's beneficiary of the work grant made available by the Valter Baldaccini Foundation. He accompanied us with his smile to tell us about his work and his opportunity for redemption, because Jalil is a young man who is serving a sentence with an alternative measure to prison.

A heartfelt thank you to Don Marco Briziarelli, Alfonso, Maurizio, Silvia, Jalil and all the staff of Caritas Perugia and Fondazione San Lorenzo for having opened the doors of the Caritas Perugia headquarters to us and welcomed us with such joy and warmth. It was very nice and meaningful to share this special day with you.
