A mother tells about her journey with the project "With the families"

A few days ago we told you about Marianna, one of the mothers of the socio-educational project With the families. In her own words, she described the insecurities and doubts she faced together with Annachiara, one of the project’s educators. The journey with this family ended a few weeks ago. The end of shared journey is not only experienced by the educators, but also by the parents and their children. Thanks to Marianna for giving us these beautiful words.

“The project With families has ended; it sounds strange to say this. In reality, for me and for my child it represented continuous, pleasant encounters with a person who tiptoed into the intimacy of our home as an educator and came out as a dear friend, not surprisingly my daughter calls her "Annacara"!

We ended with a promise to keep in touch, to keep seeing each other and for us it couldn't be otherwise. "Annacara" is now one of the adult figures Giulia can relate to. She has always welcomed her with excitement, because she knew that she would play happily for more than an hour.

For me she was a discreet person, able to listen to the outburst of small and big daily frustrations or simply a friend with whom to exchange views on films, books, restaurants or ideas on how to spend a weekend doing something satisfying for the whole family.

I am grateful to the Valter Baldaccini Foundation for making sure that a beautiful person took my baby and me by the hand and journeyed together with us on the road. This has been and will be the long and bright path of my wonderful life Giulia!".
