For Christmas, help give an education to a child

Once a year Sister Philomene, our contact person for the socio-educational project in Burkina Faso, arms herself with a lot of patience and her cell phone camera and takes photos of the sixteen children who, thanks to our donors, can attend school.

The youngest is Josiane who is three years old and has just started kindergarten and the oldest is Joel who will turn 18 and will be attending the last year of middle school. Jeremy and Pelagie, on the other hand, have just graduated from elementary school and wanted to be immortalized, all proud, with a certificate of achievement.

Some of them have sly eyes that smile, others are veiled with melancholy and deep sadness. Each of these children has had a difficult life. Many do not have parents and come from families of extreme poverty, where being able to eat every day is not a certainty.

Going to school means having a concrete possibility of a better future, which is why this educational project has great value. Only a third of Burkinabé children have the opportunity to get an education and, as unfortunately often happens, the possibility of accessing education is reduced even more for girls.

Education is the best gift you can give to a child” said Valter Baldaccini on his return from a trip to Africa. Just over a month away from Christmas, this year please consider giving a special gift: the right to an education for those who do not have the opportunity.

Many children like Emilie, Edwige, Clarisse, Etienne and Justine will be able to attend school and have a precious opportunity for redemption. Please donate today.
