Victor's story from Kosovo

"I had already been to Kenya, so I wasn’t as shocked by the conditions in Kosovo. Leskoc House is beautiful and modern, with all the comforts a person could want. All of the young people and children who live in the house have food, clothing, and go to school.
After they told us how things function at the House, with all the young people at the house, I was asking myself: “Once they grow up, what will they do?”.

I asked Massimo this question and I was very happy with his answer. There are some mid to long-term projects at the House for the youth who can’t live there anymore because they’ve reached adulthood.

Together with their families, they continue to be involved in the activities at the House that help sustain individuals and the community. There are a variety of projects: selling meat, milk, cheese, salami, bread, and wheat, some of which is sold, and some is consumed at the house. These young people have already had to leave their families and these activities give them an opportunity to not have to leave their homes and families a second time".
