An affectionate greeting to Mons. Sigismondi

Our heartfelt congratulations to Bishop Gualtiero Sigismondi, who after having been Bishop of the Diocese of Foligno for 12 years, assumes the new pastoral office of Bishop of Orvieto-Todi. 
To him goes our most heart-filled greetings. The bond with His Eminence, first with Valter Baldaccini and then with the Foundation, has always been very strong.  

Our joy for him in this new assignment is mixed with melancholy because we have to say goodbye; nevertheless, what has been built together remains, like the projects we have been able to carry out together in the Foligno community. 

One of the first Valter Baldaccini Foundation projects, Family and Work, found space and the opportunity to take shape with the support of Bishop Sigismondi. With the Diocesan Caritas of Foligno, for more than two years now, we have been working with unemployed mothers and fathers to give them hope and dignity.  

Together with the Diocese of Foligno we have collaborated in the post-earthquake renovation work at CNOS FAP - Casa del Ragazzo, to allow the many students to continue learning in a place that is still safe and welcoming.  

Thank you Mons. Sigismondi for your work in our territory. We are certain that you will be successful in this new ministry. Have a good journey!
