The third edition of the football tournament "A goal for Valter" has concluded

The third edition of the "A goal for Valter" football tournament took place on the afternoons of September 1st and 2nd at the "Parco XXV Aprile" stadium in Cannara (PG). This exciting event is organized by ASD Cannara in memory by Valter Baldaccini, a passionate footballer who always had a strong bond with the team of his hometown.

Six teams from the 2012 Beginners categoryparticipated in the tournament, made up of talented youngsters who had the opportunity to compete for the trophy and, at the same time, get closer to the values and ethics that Valter Baldaccini represented. During the 1991/1992 Championship, Valter wrote a significant letter to the players of his team, a message that still maintains a timeless relevance and importance.

"Dear friend,
ASD Cannara needs you.
Cannarese sport and football in particular need you.
ENOUGH with the insults to the players and the referees.
PARTICIPATE in matches by encouraging your team loudly.
APPLAUD the opposing team's good play.
CONSIDERS THE REFEREE as a player like the others and therefore also subject to mistakes.
GIVE your contribution so that every game becomes real and healthy fun for everyone. Thus, you will also honor the name of your country”.

"A goal for Valter" was an initiative sponsored by the Municipality of Cannara, made possible thanks to the main sponsors UMBRAGROUP and Lillocci electrical systems, to the sponsors BSP and COMFA Tecnoservice srl and to the German companies of the Umbrian Group KUHN and PKE. The event was organized in collaboration with the Valter Baldaccini Foundation and Scarpette Rosa.

We would like to thank all the teams that participated, the referees and all the people who cheered on the stands. Also, congratulations to AC Perugia, the tournament’s winning team.

Special thanks to ASD Cannara for having promoted and organized the third edition of the tournament dedicated to the memory of Valter. This event represents a unique opportunity to unite the community through the passion for football and to spread the values that Valter deeply cared about.
