The in-books at the UMBRAGROUP Summer Campus

For two afternoons we stayed with the children attending the UMBRAGROUP Summer Campus.

Together with the translator Roberta we organized two laboratories, designed to let the kids know about in-book and also with the aim of making known them the wonderful Children’s Library of Foligno.

These special books with texts completely translated into symbols were born for children with communication and learning problems, but they have really involved and intrigued everyone, because the in-books stimulate reading independently.
The greatest ones have also had the chance to discover how an in- book is born. By typing their thoughts on the pc keyboard, they have discovered how each word, as if by magic, turns into a symbol, understandable to anyone.

Reading is a right for everyone and the in-books make the reading accessible to all!
