Every day the educators Annachiara and Cecilia go to the homes of many fragile families in the area, to help parents in the delicate moment when a new child arrives. They are women like Marianna, the mother of little Giulia, who is facing so many fears and insecurities to give her baby the best possible start.
In Tor Bella Monaca, one of the most complex neighborhoods in Rome, many children and young people are discovering that a life far from crime is possible. They are children like little Erika, who has a family deeply marked by serious mental health problems, drug addiction and prison, but who, together with the educator Monica, is beginning to feel understood, accepted and is learning to trust adults.
In Kenya, in Mathare, the largest slum in Nairobi, many very young mothers are being given the opportunity to learn a job. They are Shantel, Irene, Everlyne and many other girls who became mothers because during the hardest months of the pandemic they were forced into prostitution, but who are now attending a workshop to create small handicrafts and learn a job that allows them to regain dignity and autonomy.
